Written as a poem in 1814 the USA National Anthem has been symbolic of this countries desire to be self ruled and fight at every turn to defend its freedoms and way of life. The USA American Citizen National Anthem Challenge Coin was designed to recognize our proud heritage as Americans and those seeking American citizenship. The lyrics come from Defense of Fort M’Henry, a poem written on September 14, 1814.
