Defending the US Constitution
The very first pledge in our Oath of Enlistment is to “defend the Constitution.” We defend this before our all. The Constitution is synonymous with our country. Without the the Amendments and Articles contained within, our country would be unstable. The Constitution is the solid foundation our government stands upon. As Americans we carry the torch of our Forefathers. This light has seen our country through the darkest of times.
The Constitution
We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish the Constitution of the United States of America.
The Constitution contains 27 ratified Amendments and 6 unratified. The first 10 Amendments are collectively known as The Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights ensures the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Regardless of their gender, religion, color, or creed you are. The Bill of Rights is the very freedom our country is founded upon. Without it we would not know the taste of freedom.
Oath of Enlistment
“I ‘your name’ do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God!” -Oath of Enlistment
Our Oath of Enlistment does not expire. We are United States Marines for life! Until we draw our last breath, we will defend our country. Our allegiance to the American values of freedom is unwavering. Democracy courses through our American veins! We continue to selflessly sacrifice for our country. Without sacrifice freedom would never exist.
Freedom has never tasted sweeter than those that fought for it. To us the values we hold dear mean something. We have traveled to countries that do not know the taste of freedom. We can speak from experience on the subject of freedom.
Our Country
Our country continues to hold the value of the people’s voice dear. We are the standard bearers world wide. Ensuring liberty for those unable to stand up themselves. Every human being has rights. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are basic human rights. Without these the entire world would be in chaos. These are not just American values. These are human values. Human beings should never live in misery. They should never be held in bondage. The right to life should never come into question.
Devil Dog Shirts is proudly to bears allegiance to the Constitution of the United States. By creating this patriotic wear we hope to perpetuate the love of our great country. As veterans and active duty Marines we are a different breed than many Americans. We relish our freedom. We have traveled were the was none. For us, liberty was earned through blood, sweat, and tears!
I am not a Marine, but I took the sane oath to protect and defend the constitution. I hope this doesn’t disqualify me from joining the Dog Pound.
I’m not military, I’m not ex military. I am just an American. I abide by the oath to defend the constitution of these United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I will not falter in my mission to uphold the colors that fly high and proud, that many before me have sacrificed all to maintain the rights given by our Lord. Though I may be unenlisted, I have not ever before fought for the freedom of these good citizens, I am still an American, ready and willing to fight for our freedoms because I would rather die in my feet than live on my knees. I say this for God and country, God bless America and pass the ammunition.
