America is no different in preserving her way of life than Sparta was when it comes to our American birthright and our 2nd Amendment rights: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
The 2nd Amendment and Molon Labe have a direct connection to one another. Americans had their weapons at hand when the American colonies were occupied by British Redcoats and the American Minutemen could head to battle instantly. American colonists would not give up their weapons and to do so knew it would end their possibility of becoming an independent and freedom loving country. Sparta would not give up their weapons because they also knew that it meant giving up Sparta. That simply was not going to happen under their watch and the Spartans just like Americans know that to ensure their freedoms they must be able to protect them.
