Bronze Star with V Lava Mug

The Bronze Star medal was added to our military’s list of achievable awards during 1944.  The award however was given to recognize valor of service members during the onset of World War II.  Since then many service members have received the Bronze Star.  Yet even fewer rate a Bronze Star with combat “V” device.  The “V” is awarded for singular heroic acts of valor in combat.  The Bronze Star with V Lava Mug for those service members that rate such.
